Dr. Thomas Curiel
Dr. Thomas Curiel is incredibly excited to be back in California. Originally from Sylmar, California, Dr. Curiel met his wife, Brianne, who is a Fresno native while attending Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He received a bachelor’s degree in Biology while playing collegiate football for the Mustangs. He then moved to Philadelphia, where he attended Temple University School of Dentistry earning his D.M.D. degree. After practicing general dentistry for a year in Palm Springs, California, he returned to Philadelphia where he received his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical training from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. During residency, Dr. Curiel served as chief resident, and completed his program in 2017.Some of Dr. Curiels’ specialty training and interests include corrective jaw surgery, treatment of oral/facial tumors and cysts with advanced reconstruction, facial trauma, temporomandibular joint disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, implant rehabilitation, as well as dental extractions. His extensive training allows him to provide complete patient comfort through the utilization of general anesthesia and state of the art patient monitoring.
Dr. Curiel also enjoys taking part in community service outreach. He has been a member of service mission trips to Costa Rica, Panama, and most recently a member of Operation Smiles, Vietnam Dental Mission. He was also a recent speaker at the AAOMS 2017 National meeting in Las Vegas where he discussed surgical options for obstructive sleep apnea.
He enjoys spending time with his wife Brianne and their daughter, Teagan. While in Fresno, he plans to be an active member of the community, play some golf, and have a few tri-tip sandwiches at Doghouse Grill.
